A great result once again in terms of numbers at this year’s edition of Ecomondo and Key Energy, the ultimate stage for themes relating to the recovery of materials and energy and sustainable development. During the event, held in Rimini from 6 to 9 November, the entire exhibition area (129,000 square metres) was occupied by the companies taking part in the event, representing a 4% increase in professional attendance.
The international presence at the event was also strong (10% of the total), with operators from 115 countries: 70% from Europe and 9% from the Mediterranean basin, with significant numbers from China and Russia too.
Over the course of the four-day trade fair, media interest was also impressive, with news and information regarding the event reaching around 170 million people world wide.
As has been the case at every edition of this prestigious event to date, Piaggio Commercial Vehicles confirmed its imposing presence within its specific sector, with a newly-designed professional space spanning 160 square metres to welcome visitors and allow them to get up close and personal with the Porter Maxxi Chassis, equipped with the new Euro 6C engine powered by LPG bifuel.
This year, the stand was more original than ever, and stood out from the crowds with a creative design which adorned the windows and walls, reproducing real urban scenes, the main environment in which the Porter range of vehicles is used.
The Chassis model, in its various equipment configurations, is capable of meeting the most diverse needs: it can be used for public utility applications and operations in the building and maintenance sector, as a mobile shop, and in special transport services, ensuring total safety for operators even in the most narrow and congested urban environments.
Moreover, thanks to the Euro 6C “environmentally-friendly” engines (which run on petrol and LPG bifuel or methane) and the 100% Electric Range, Piaggio has long been a figurehead for sustainable mobility, guaranteeing both continuity of work and considerable advantages in terms of running costs for all companies operating in these contexts.
