TO PROMOTE THE “WEEK OF ITALIAN CUISINE” IN KHARTOUM: THE OFFICIAL VIDEO OF THE ITALIAN EMBASSY IN SUDAN, WITH FABRIZIO LOBASSO AS PROTAGONIST.
In Sudan, from 2 to 6 December 2018, was celebrated the “III Settimana della cucina italiana nel mondo” (3rd Week of Italian Cuisine in the World), including gastronomic excellences and Italian specialities such as “appetising” cultural exchange vehicles. The programme of activities was broad and varied: every day of the week was dedicated to an event, to disseminate true Italian Cooking in the capital Khartoum, with a focus on Italian expertise, good and healthy food, solidarity and nutrition.
To promote the initiative, the Italian Embassy in Sudan created a captivating video – posted on its facebook page – which sees as protagonist none other than the Italian Ambassador, Fabrizio Lobasso, as an “actor”: driving a blue Piaggio Ape (bought a few months ago by the Embassy), as a taxi driver, wearing traditional Sudanese clothes, carrying a customer. Then, he and a friend stop at a stall to take a coffee, Italian – of course! – prepared with a real “moka” machine by the charming “barista” (i.e., barkeeper, the taxi driver’s morning customer), “played” by Valeria Romare (Deputy of the Italian Embassy in Sudan), also in local clothes.
